If anyones interested, the weed in Yerrbi seems to abated somewhat in the main body of water (South Western end). I have managed two paddles there this week and while you still collect a little, it's nothing like the usual mess. Still pretty bad on the other side of the bridges.
This situation has definitely changed. I have never seen anything like it. This morning their was so much weed all over the lake I was at risk of throwing myself in everytime my paddle got caught in a mat of it durnig a normal stroke. It was also a bit dark so you couldn't see where it was worst. It is pretty crazy all over the pond at the moment regardless though. Might give it a break for a bit.
