Club Shed Key-hire
Shed keys are hired out only to current year's BGCC members who can show that they have a legitimate need to hire a key. To qualify for a shed key, paddlers must have:
- been BGCC members for at least 3 months
- to have shown themselves to be responsible club members with a willingness to assist in the smooth running of the club
- to attend a general club meeting to introduce themselves to members of the committee and plead their case for the need of a key
Initial deposit is $35, plus an annual fee of $25 (total of $60 for the first year)
BGCC members who have taken out 2 or 3 year club membership and wish to hire a club shed key, must also pay for the same number of years' key-hire, of $45/$80 (2 years) or $65/$100 (3 years)
Members who return their shed key will be reimbursed $30.
Member's Extra
For those BGCC members who wish to use a boat stored in the Club Shed on a reasonably frequent basis - 12 or more times per year. This is for both those members who don't own their own boat and use club boats on a regular basis and for those members who have been fortunate enough to obtain a space in the club shed to rack their boat. The fee is $110 p.a. Once again, those members taking out 2 or 3 year club membership and wishing to make use of the Extras, must also pay for the same number of years of Extras, $180 for 2 years or $275 for 3 years. Students enjoy the reduced rates of $65 for 1 year, $115 for 2 years or $165 for 3 years. BGCC members wishing to rack their boats in the club shed need to apply to the boat captain for a placement or a place on the waiting list.
There will be no extra charge for those club members who use club boats on a less frequent basis. People who use the club's doubles for races are also exempted from this fee.
Reimbursement on a pro-rata basis will be applied to those who either stop using club boats or who remove their private boats before the end of the financial year.
